Can't fault the staff. All cheerful, helpful, and welcoming. Good selection of food and drink.
Great location for the attractions that the area has to offer.
However, matress had a sinking feeling, bedrooms full of IKEA furniture, and an oversized sink in the bathroom.
Room needs blackout curtains for light summer mornings.
We got a time slot for 9.40 for breakfast, which we thought was strange instead of coming down whenever we wanted as it wasn't at all busy. When breakfast came, some items were just warm (egg, beans, tomatoes)

Cleanliness and everything we needed was there. The bed was extremely comfortable too! It was right on the doorstep to Chatsworth Park and in such a quiet and safe location location. A short walk away were hotels and pubs for food and drink. It was such a lovely place to stay.

Fantastic find.
Fantastic find. Needed a stopover whilst working in the area. Mixing work and pleasure, the Devonshire was all pleasure. Good location, (after a fabulous dinner we had a fabulous evening walk from the hotel in the nearby Chatsworth estate. Great value for money. Baslow is a fab place.
Baslow is a fab place. It has lots to offer, including The Cavendish Hotel, which is amazing! There are lots of places to eat, with a variety of styles. It is easy to get round Baslow. I don't need to avoid anything in Baslow, it's got everything I like.

The room was spacious and decorated so nice! It felt cozy and luxurious. We loved the breakfast. You could tell it was made with love. Bonus that the food was all sourced from local farms in the area. Such an amazing value for a really unique experience. The property manager was kind, helpful, and check-in/ out was so easy! Lots of counter space in the bathroom to spread out toiletries and share with another person. Also, the location is fantastic for visiting Chatsworth - about a 7 minute drive. The pub across the road is very convenient. The living room is very spacious and with a great window toward the garden. We enjoyed the sun in the living room in the evening. There are several good restaurants and cafe near to the location.
