Böblingen is adjacent to a large industrial area but does have a certain amount of character. There seem to be a variety of restaurants, some not currently open because of Covid 19 but we found a good Italian restaurant with plenty of outdoor and indoor seating, well spaced out for Social distancing. We would definitely stop there again for an overnight if on a long drive.

If something missing there is also a shared kitchen better equipped on the ground floor. They also offer a free coffee machine in the entrance hall. You can also borrow a bike for free. It saved me few times when I was running late. Despite being at 30 min walking distance from the city centre, there are at least 5 different options of buses passing nearby the hotel going to Böblingen ZOB. Staff service is also really friendly. I recommend.

Situated in a nice surrounding area with lots of opportunities for hiking around. Rooms are very cosy and in very good condition. Staff is friendly and helpful. The best about the hotel is the restaurant (food). Fantastic German (Swabian) cuisine of exceptional taste and quality. The restaurant is worth a try even if you do not stay for a sleepover at the hotel.
