In the picturesque town of Agaete, this hotel has a subtle nautical theme and a fantastic spa to enjoy. Head down to the nearby beach for breath-taking scenery and a swim in the Atlantic Ocean.

Delicious and varied breakfast. The location is convenient (truth to be said the whole place is a very tiny village). Overall clean.

Modern, well-sized apartment on the second floor of a multi-apartment building. No dedicated parking but there is a big parking lot outside and we always found a space. Apartment was spotlessly clean when we arrived, kitchen was well-equipped with the necessary tools, internet access worked well. We found the apartment pleasant and convenient, reasonably well equipped and with decent sized rooms (not huge or luxurious but in our opinion good value for the price). Overall we absolutely recommend this place as a great base for exploring the North and West of Gran Canaria. There are great drives and walks in the area, the beaches in Puerto de La Aldea and Sardina del Norte were both enjoyable as was a visit to Galdar with its rich Christmas decoration.

The apartment is well equipped and cozy: there’s everything that you need: there’s a washing machine and washing powder if you need to wash your clothes. Three bedrooms allow for good privacy, especially if you are traveling with teenagers. The apartment is clean, the bedding’s of good quality. The hostess is very kind and attentive: we had indicated one arrival time, but we were about three hours late. However, she welcomed us kindly, even though it was already late. There was fruits, wine and water left for us ,this was really nice, since the shops were already closed since we had arrived late. The apartment is in a convenient location, you can reach the beach and the grocery stores quickly by car or by foot.

Lovely managers and beautiful roof terrace, nice community feel and good to get to know other travellers. The charm of this hostel is because of the managers.

Overall a very good place to stay. Everything was clean and the stuff was so friendly and helpful, especially Agustina.
I wanted to stay for 1 night but then decided to stay my remaining 3 days and there was not a single second where I felt uncomfortable.
Also, there is an open free parking area close by, which is pretty handy if you got a rental car.
Would definitely recommend this central hostel and it's staff.

If you want to get a bit more remote and not in the high rise this is your spot. In the old town there's a few places to eat, don't leave it too lateen a Sunday or there's not much open.
The port is fine, plenty of restaurants you'd expect on the quay. Loved the swim pools, discovered them on our second last day & would have used them and the promenade more had I known!
The road south is great fun with epic views, but not for the faint hearted with tiny windy roads and potential rock falls if it's been raining.
Nice spot, nearby coffee plantations a great day trip.

Fish restaurants in the Puerto area are all brilliant.
Fish restaurants in the Puerto area are all brilliant.
Agaete town is quiet and sleepy, but lovely. Excellent coffee at the bakery. the Huertas de las Flores is a gorgeous and lush oasis of amazing trees and flowers.
the municipal library is a wonderful community space.
Excellent location and starting point for some really good hikes. Local public transport is really good. We took the local bus to Los Berrazales coffee place (finca la Laja), then walked back along the valley floor ('el valle' or 'el barranco').
Perfect place for a quiet holiday - lots of other visitors, but it is not a 'big resort' kind of place, just people who come for hiking and very good fresh fish!

Agaete has a magical spirit, which is hard to describe rationally. In the compact and pretty town center is a wide range of cafés, bars and restaurants. Narrow streets elevate the whole slope up to the topmost view. Often there is some music festival in the town. Surrounding mountain are always visible, being a background for small beautiful places that are worth to seek for. Neighbouring port town offers beaches, natural piscinas and more bars and cafés. Supermarket is located practically halfway between, together with a closed bath (also suitable for children) and gorgeous Hondo café, which would be a mistake not to visit. Agaete is easy to reach by car using highway, which is currently being extended further south. However, bus services are poor in speed due to detouring to many villages along the highway and often delayed, and most of all too infrequent except for the line to Las Palmas.

No hot water when arrived.
No hot water when arrived. Dodgy tap in a bathroom meant no hot water all the stay. Ants in a bathroom all ten days. Damaged bathroom door. No toaster. No "free toiletries or toaster" both advertised.
Sparse kitchen utilities. No pegs for hanging out washing. Two outside lights missing.
Contacted both booking.com, Holidu and the useless Victor Ramos. E mails over nearly all ten days, and the responses to all queries raised. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Victor exists to stall clients, do nothing and prevent money being spent. He blames the owners if he cannot do anything (he know exactly what he is doing ...........) Basically rubbish

We weren't that impressed about Agaete as there were only few shops and the local supermarkets had a rather modest choice of food. Agaete scores well in terms of atmosphere (old buildings, narrow roads, picturesque port) but you can't compare it with the much more lively, bustling Galdar. We liked the port area and the rock pools but didn't find them outstanding in any way. Agaete is certainly worth visiting but we felt it tends to get a bit overrated. For us Agaete was a great base for exploring the North and West of Gran Canaria but a bit less of a great destination on its own.

A small town with a number of small shops, two banks and a couple of places to eat out or take a coffee. There is no supermarket. There is a town square with a pretty church, but this is usually closed. The nearby Maipes archaeological park is well worth a visit. The botanical gardens are tiny but for €1, again worth a visit. From Agaete you can walk to Puerto de las Nieves in about 20 minutes (Spar supermarket en route) where you can enjoy the beaches, the natural swimming pools and watch the ferry going to a from Tenerife.
La Jacaranda is a cute apartment ideal for staying between hikes or trips, equipped with basic but great taste.
The hosts were helpful - and also superkind to provide a huge bottle of mineral water - this was made the stay easier - not tipical in this region.
Agaete Valley is place that is worth to visit, you can meet all the elements from a sunny ocean playa to windy giant hills.
Try to visit Finca los Catanos - a coffee plantation - remarkable for a lifetime :) as like the valley's specific flora & fauna.
My friends and I had a beautiful stay. The villa is located in Agaete, a beautiful village. The villa is clean, very well equipped and comfortable. The views from the villa are amazing and we will not forget the beautiful sunsets.
Pablo the owner is very kind, helpful and very responsive.
Don't hesitate to book this villa if you are looking for a beautiful relaxing place. We wish we could have stayed longer.
Location. The location of the accommodation in Agaete is ideal for an active holiday for guests who like hiking like us. There are many possibilities in the surroundings for beautiful and challenging trips to the Tamadaba National Park and villages in the surrounding mountains, for example with the purchase of excellent cheeses at the farms. After the trek, you can relax by the sea and in local restaurants!
An absolutely stunning property. A perfect stopover to end our long distance hike across the island. The house is incredibly spacious, beautifully decorated and the host was incredibly attentive and helpful throughout our stay. The location is perfect and in a beautiful part of Agaete. What an incredible surprise to enter this wonderful property that has been finished with incredible detail.
The hostel is in the downtown of Agaete with a really cosy bar and nice plaza just next door. Parking is for free nearby and atmosphere in the city as well as in the hostel are super relaxed and friendly. We enjoyed the yoga class, sitting outdoors or relaxing in the hammock. The room was comfy and just a bit noisy due to the road close by. The kitchen is also well equipped.
The hotel is beautiful, with stunning views of the ocean, clean and spacious rooms and it’s perfectly situated near natural pools and rocky cliff backdrops. The staff is very friendly, the food was great with plenty of options for all appetites and everything was sparkling clean. I can only say good things about this hotel and I will definitely come back in the future.
The big glass doors, balcony with sliding slatted screens together with amazing views makes this property a fantastic choice in Agaete. It’s often (very!) windy but the balcony is usually windless as it faces SW. great sunset views. Well equipped and comfortable accommodation.
The apartment is located on a quiet residential street. We really enjoyed it. The apartment was very comfortable and cozy and offers a great starting point to explore the Island. We spent wonderful time in Gran Canaria and definitely come again to the apartments!
We loved Agaete and this was a great stay, we felt at home.
The place was clean, kitchen had all the amenities we needed for cooking, the balcony was a great addition and communication with Paolo was smooth and friendly.
Would definitely recommend staying here!
It was a very good stay. The apartment is not big but a cozy one. The bed is comfortable, I like the quality cotton sheets. The outdoor space is very big, an awesome terrace. Agaete is a lively historical town, not to be missed. Owners are very pleasant
Location superb. There's direct access to the natural pool from the hotel, only 5 min walk. Then 10 min walk along the seafront to the village. Very convenient.
