Hassan... an absolute gem of a person. SO kind and welcoming. He *really* went out of his way to accommodate our last-min request, including preparing us the best food we had eaten during our time in Morocco. You could feel generosity radiating from him, and he absolutely made this one of the highlights of our trip. An authentic countryside/local experience - maybe not for the luxury/comfort seeker, but for a real connection to and appreciation for genuine local life.

This small hotel is Cosy and clean. It's in the best location of the city, easy to get around by local taxis. Amazing restaurants around too. It's not far away from the Medina, which is amazing! The best part was the food. I give that 5 star! Moroccan breakfast, large portions with great selections. One more thing, we booked and went in to check in immediately, they were so accommodating they let us check in earlier!

The best thing about this hotel was the staff. The guy on reception and his colleague were super nice and helpful. They recommended a restaurant for dinner (Black Pepper) which was also pretty good. The reception manager put me in a cab to take me there - nothing was too much trouble. Good job!

From the moment we arrived, Zakia welcomed us like family. She shared her courageous and passionate journey to open the town to foreign visitors and champion progress for rural women. She is a most incredible person. The home/hotel is thoughtfully decorated and somewhat museum-like with many traditional Moroccan antiques. We were very comfortable. So glad we chose to stay here.

The staff helped me with a train reservation and arranged for a taxi. A map of the area is provided for both an area hike and directions to the Roman Ruins Volubilis. I highly recommend. Very relaxing. Wish I had been able to spend another night.

There we got some welcome tea and later on the best Tajine we had so far! It was made from organic veggies from Moulay Idriss. Zakia even upgraded our room to a much bigger one than the one we had booked. Her whole house is very beautiful and has lots of sweet details, plus the view from her balcony is amazing! Thank you so much for the warm hospitality! <3

We took the option of travelling on donkeys to explore the nearby Roman ruins of Volubilis. Unfortunately, the weather was very hot so we wanted to get there when it opened so the staff made up a wonderful picnic breakfast for us to eat at the ruins. Very helpful staff and a delicious dinner.

Also good water pressure (for Marokko) and very hot shower (even at 8pm). The aircon also can be turned to heat and the room was nice and warm (very important in winter). Be aware that you have to walk to the hotel which probably would be annoying with large luggage.
