What a fabulous place, wonderful location from the front and superb views from the back. A nice spacious room with a balcony and we even managed to find a parking spot a few minutes away. The shops and restaurants were just there but it was lovely and quiet at night.

Nice place to stay out of Rome, but not too far (about 40 min by car to the centre). Close to nature, Albano lake is within the half an hour walk down the hill. There is access to the beach with a restaurant and a bar (and a parking lot) where you can rent a chair. Parking can be little tricky in this town with narrow streets. Castel Gandolfo is a beautiful town. The Pope's palace isn't much to see inside but it has miles of gorgeous gardens and views. The pine trees are some of the healthiest I have seen in Italy. It is a small town but we’ve done all the biggies and wanted a smaller town. Lots of restaurants for a small town but that’s probably because of the day trippers from Rome. Also Romans go there on weekends to escape the crowds of the city, especially this year because there are so many more tourists according to the locals and the food is really good. Some restaurants you might want to consider, Sor Capanna, great pizza, and pasta with boar sauce. Cumin Arte, they offer other things but this is definitely seafood oriented, great mussels and seafood options. Hosteria Fraschetta, we ate there a couple of times, the food is that good, a little bright inside but everyone was enjoying themselves one cool, rainy night. We were for a dinner in the nearest restaurant walking the stairs up to the Centero Storico of the town. The area is very quiet and view of the lake is awesome. There is a train nearby and you may hear it when windows are open but the trees are making you feel in the wood far from the civilization, despite the fact you can clime few stair floors and get into the center.Boris KonstantinovBulgaria

Lago Albano is picturesque and it is fun to watch surfers and scullers race on it's sparkling water. We spent a lot of time reading our books out there, taking in the sun. Claudio, our host, was very kind and helpful. The bed was comfortable. There are nice little touches everywhere - lavender sachets on the hangers in the closet, fun art on the walls.
