The bed is very soft, I don’t think it would be fit for most of guests.

very good campsite with a beautiful view. Clean and very comfortable outdoor toilets. Not shared, everyone has their own, so there is privacy. A well-equipped shared kitchen. Each cottage has heating, a stove, a kettle and a fridge. We were also allowed to stay 1 hour longer. Next to grocery stores, for example Kiwi.

I loved that it wasn't very big, yet there was plenty to do there, and it was beautiful as well. I really enjoyed hiking up around the Aksla. There were plenty of excursions that could be done from there, and the scenery was gorgeous. It was very easy getting around the town, whether on fun or via public transportation, and it was relaxing.

Alesund is very beautiful seen from above so make sure you go to Aksla viewpoint where you arrive.
You will love the city if you love the Art Nouveau style.
I am not a fan of this type of architecture so I was not amazed by the city while I was walking in. There is a bit of lack of life and it's very quiet.
However, the landscapes and the nature all around the city is absolutly stunning so this is a great reason to visit this town.

Great city to end my trip around the famous Norwegian Fjords. Clean and walkable city center. Don’t miss out on the 400 steps to the view point above the park. A few restaurants to choose from. Visit the Ålesund aquarium and take a stroll around the old harbor area.

Alesund is a nice town, with much to see. We only thought that there wasn't a lot to do in the evening. For excursions there is plenty of possibilities. Two days is enough for me. Nice that we have seen this.

We were there too late in the season to do the things we wanted to do. The fjord trip was great, but I was hoping to get to Geiranger and Trollsteigen. A pretty place, but not much to see or do in October.

Ålesund is not a nice stay for people who enjoy nature.
Ålesund is not a nice stay for people who enjoy nature. We did the walk to the summit but that was all we enjoyed. So glad we did not stay two nights. It’s a very strange place with few places to eat.
The room was spacious and clean. The kitchenette has everything, if someone wants to cook. The property has also a bigger kitchen, available for all guests, where you can find a bigger fridge, a microwave oven etc. The host (Rolf) was very polite and helpful; always willing to provide information about the city. We booked the room with private bathroom but could also use the sitting and dining areas of the whole property, which were very nice. The room price was very good (compared to prices in Norway). The location is excellent.
The hotel was beautiful. We stayed in a room on the top floor with very distinct and memorable architecture. The exposed antique wood beams, dramatic sloping ceilings, and curved corner spier were very unique. The space was large and comfortable with a seating area and small desk. We had dinner at the restaurant and were very impressed with the flavorful and well-prepared meal. The lobby area was very well decorated and very romantic. We enjoyed sitting in the garden patio reading and drinking our morning coffee.
All staff was super friendly and we got a little upgrade because we booked a double bed so we got a bigger room - thanks for this :) breakfast was very good and one could also get a „real“ coffee (not just filter coffee) from the bar as well. They also took care that they served the breakfast for you (first time we saw some kind of Covid measure applied in Norway) and it was much appreciated! Beds were comfortable and the bathroom was spacious, the common areas are beautiful and we loved the design!
The apartment was a real treat! Pawel is what AirBnB would call a super host. We found everything we needed, there was even lemonade for us in the fridge. Street parking was no problem. Laundry facilities were also highly appreciated. The proximity to the Aksla viewpoint was a plus, so we started watching the sunset from Aksla, then walked to the apartment for dinner and returned for the final hour of the incredible sunset over picturesque Ålesund. Two thumbs up!
We (family of 4) had a short stay in Alesund and were looking for a convenient and comfortable place with a parking option. The appartment is spacious and well appointed (incl washer/drying, plenty of kitchen equipment etc). Location is excellent, walking distance to town and Aksla viewpoint (470 steps!). Communication with landlord is good, checkin instructions (key box) clear. It was a perfect stay for us.
This was by far the best apartment I have stayed during my travels in Norway. The apartment has everything you can possibly want. Check in and check out is very easy. Grocery store is 1min walking distance. Although the communication with the host is only through Booking messages, she was very nice and friendly.☺️ I definitely recommend this apartment for your stay in Alesund. You will feel like home.☺️
The room was big for a standard hotel room and, bonus, it had windows that opened so we could sit in front of the open window and enjoy the views we had of Ålesund (our room faced the harbour£.
We arrived really early and went to the hotel to see if we could store our bags there until check in time and the staff let us check in at 10:30am (the room wasn’t in use). That was unexpected and appreciated!
Amazing hotel in the heart of Ålesund. Hotel is perfectly located near to all atractions and near to the water with beautiful view. Room was very clean, modern and spacious. Stuff was very helpful. The best thing was delicious buffet breakfast - there was almost everything - hot and cold dishes, many variations of milk - plant based and lactose free too. We will definitely come back! :)
The facilities were excellent, places to sit and watch the sun set and provision made for it being cold. Breakfasts were appetizing and the room was clean and comfortable. Using the facilities well after we booked out for the wait for the Hurtigruten, the Quality Hotel staff made us feel welcome and at ease. Thoroughly recommended for a stay in Alesund.
10 out of 10! Both, Hosts as well as accommodation were the highlights of our trip in Norway so far. We thoroughly recommend staying there if you are nearby. We have never felt more welcomed and at home in all of Norway. The island is beautiful, lots of nature and birds and walks. We’ll probably back soon!
I was worn out and this hotel might has saved my life! (exaggeration but it felt like that). The room was great and I had a nice view. I arrived very early and was able to drop my bags off and was able to check in early. Everything was great.
City center, really easy to access old town, bars and concert place.
Breakfast was nice, good lobby bar.
No private hotel parking, however public one is free after 4PM and on Sundays.
Excellent location in the heart of historical Ålesund; safe and comfortable lodging with all the amenities we needed; warm, welcoming and very helpful host; flexible and easy check-in.
Apartment was big and very comfortable and right downtown Alesund so we could enjoy the city and shopping on foot, even after dark. Kitchen well equipped and washer and dryer big.
The hotel was lovely, but weirdly planned out. A big downside that parking is not free eventhough you park at the hotel underground parking. Otherwise nice hotel, nice breakfast.
A great, historical place. Conveniently located if you don't want to stay in the center of Ålesund. It takes less than 10 minutes to drive to the center of town by car.
The hotel is close to bus route 65 that goes to the Ålesund airport. The lobby, bar, and restaurant are attractive.
The restaurant food was quite good.
