The hikes around have absolutely stunning views! I liked having the whole lodge to myself on the weekdays in June since no one else was there haha. The lodge is beautifully constructed and felt very cozy! There are places with stunning views to sit outside and eat, meditate etc..

Absolutely beautiful place to stay. I have been on the norway in a nutshell type tour, and this was a planned stop. I'm so glad to have been to this little village and great accommodation. Had an amazing hot breakfast . I would definitely recommend staying here . If you're coming off of a Fjord tour, this is any easy little walk.

Room was excellent and comfortable; I liked the fact that we had a waterfall next to our lodge! It seems so peaceful hearing the water. Lots of space were available by the waterfall for fantastic photos. Bathroom was clean and good. Showers were great as well.

Amazing location surrounded by nature, fjords and big beautiful mountains. You can fish here, you can bath, you can enjoy a nice walk or just sit and listen to the river beside you. Comfortable beds and pillows and very clean. Super good Breakfast at a low price. Lovely staff people and very helpful in any kind of situation. I really recommend it, we will come back!

We stayed in Gudvangen for 3 nights early May. Initially we booked Gudvangen Budget Hotel. While check-in we were informed that the premises were being prepared for the summer season and we granted a stay at Cudvangen Fjordtell courtesy of the management. We were happy with such an unexpected upgrade to say the least. The room view was incredible overlooking 3 waterfalls just out of the window. The room had a separate entrance, was rather spacious; there was a bathroom and a WC in the room. As for the facilities, there was a soft cozy bed, a flat TV for those who cares, a fridge, a microwave oven, an electric kettle, some disposable tea-ware. The room, which had been redecorated not long before, was clean and quiet. There was a hairdryer, immaculate towels, some soap in the bathroom. The tropical rain shower was the thing one longed for after a long day hikes and walks in the area. The hotel served breakfasts at extra charge if required. There was a petrol station nearby and Joker supermarket, where one could buy some groceries up to the liking, and the shop outlet serving tasty hotdogs. We were really pleased with the stay and very welcoming staff of the hotel. By the way, Gudvangen is a nice starting point to get reach to the beginning of Rimstigen hike, there one can enjoy an incredible view over the fjord. We sincerely recommend to stay exactly at that premises and express our sheer gratitude to the personnel.
