We came to Norway from New York for a family trip across country from Oslo to Bergen in April 2023 and we had booked in for a night at Tuddal Høyfjellshotel to break up the drive. It was our first trip to Norway and had no idea that we were going to have one of the absolute best experiences of the entire trip together there. The place is simply beautiful. The people there are incredibly attentive and helpful. The food at dinner and breakfast is world class. The location is stunning. As a personal side note to the owners: My father came to the U.S. from Kongsberg when he was in his very early 20’s and started his new life and family. Growing up in Southern California where my brother and I were exposed to a lot of the antique Scandinavian items, colors, and style. My father was a committed collector at flea markets and swap meets everywhere, and anytime he came across an old collectible related to his homeland, he would proudly bring it home and share the story of it with us, and then find a place to display it in their home. When we came into the main building to check in to our rooms, I told my 17 and 20 year old daughters, “this…this is the story your Grandfather was trying tell us with all those things”.

Loved the décor of this property and would like to extend our stay but the hotel was fully booked for the following day. sadly we had to leave. Renovated room, clean, spacious, and comfortable. Great shower and amenities. Front desk gentleman was very welcoming, friendly, and accommodating. Decent wifi speed. Fancy dinner at the restaurant. one of the best hotels we stayed in Norway and would definitely return in the future.

Located only 150 metres from Larvik Train Station, Quality Hotel Grand Larvik offers free Wi-Fi and rooms with private bathrooms and TV. Many rooms feature balcony views of the Larvik Fjord. The breakfast is fantastic! We loved the breads and crisp breads, the cheeses, eggs and roasted vegetables.

Situated next to Sandefjord Harbour, this hotel offers free WiFi and free swimming pool access. Scandic Park Sandefjord is 10 minutes' walk from Sandefjord Train Station. Torp Airport is 7 km away. The breakfast exceeded our expectations. I personally liked the fact that there was a variety of whole foods, including avocados. The room was also very clean with a beautiful view of the park and bay area. The personnel was very friendly. The whole experience was great.

Hotel Kong Carl - Unike Hoteller is located in the coastal city of Sandefjord, 150 metres from Torget Square. It combines old world charm with modern conveniences such as free Wi-Fi. unique and very individual! the breakfast can't be topped

Situated in Horten, 800 metres from Rørestrand Beach, RS Noatun features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. The breakfast was standard but good. Everything else was great.

Tollboden Hotell - Unike Hoteller features a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in Kragerø. The property is non-smoking and is set 700 metres from Gunnarsholmen Beach. Staff were so friendly! The orchard was great, fresh plums and apples. Very unique! Full of history! Yummy bfast. Super comfy beds! My elderly parents were given a better room where the bed wasn't so low to the ground. Thank you,

Lifjellstua has a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in Lifjell. Featuring a bar, the property is located within 10 km of Bø Summerland. Location, simplicity. I would definitely go again and recommend!

Featuring an in-house hair and beauty shop, the self-service Wilhelmsen House offers central accommodation in Tønsberg. The property is a 5-minute walk to public transport. Having all the entry codes and administration sorted out by email in advance was really good: the ability to just walk straight to my room without any sort of in person check-in was really appreciated after a long journey. The gym was an unexpected bonus, which I was fortunately in a position to take advantage of. Also, the fact that all local takeaways seem to know where it is and are happy to deliver there removed a lot of decision making.
